What's the difference between THCa and THC?Updated 3 months ago

The key difference is activation:

  • THCa (Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid) is the raw, non-psychoactive form of THC found in fresh cannabis. On its own, it won’t get you high.
  • THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the active compound that produces the euphoric, psychoactive effects. THCa converts into THC when heated—through smoking, vaping, or baking—unlocking its full potency.

If you're consuming THCa flower in these ways, you can expect a traditional cannabis experience.
