How is THCa flower different than THC flower?Updated 3 months ago
The main difference is activation:
- THCa flower contains Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid (THCa), which is non-psychoactive in its raw form. However, when heated (through smoking, vaping, or baking), THCa converts into THC, delivering the traditional cannabis experience.
- THC flower already contains activated THC, meaning it is psychoactive right away.
Both types of flower can provide similar effects once heated, but THCa flower remains federally legal in many places due to the 2018 Agricultural Farm Bill.
